AWS Network Security Engineer

Job Description

Currently has a career opportunity for a hands-on AWS Network Security Engineer.

This is a remote role working CT and ET zones.

Responsibilities:

For this role it is important for us to focus on these skill sets:

Must Have The Following AWS-specific Skills

• Networking: VPC, virtual gateway, Rout e53 , VPN, Direct Connect, Transit VPC, Transit Gateway, Lambda, endpoints, load balancers
• Security: ACM, WAF, Config, CloudWatch, Flow-logs, IAM
• Other services such as AWS Organizations, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, AWS shield, CloudFront, AWS Control Tower, Inspector

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Observability: Datadog, Splunk, New Relic
• Practical experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• Security Architecture: Build Cloud Network Architecture to support application and data security
• Implement industry standard cloud network security practices in support of cloud application migration projects.

Other Skills (Optional)

• Experience with automated configuration and deployment: Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IAC) frameworks
• Experience with distributed version-control systems: Git/GitHub
• Scripting (Python, Ansible, Tower) experience
• Implement an automated process for cloud network environment eliminating manual and repetitive tasks

Certifications (Preferred)

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking ‒ Specialty
• AWS Certified Security ‒ Specialty
