Job Description

As a Safety & Quality Systems & Reporting Analyst you will develop and execute safety and quality information systems and performance reporting. You will report to the Manager of Safety Metrics & Measures.

Must report on-site to our Phoenix, AZ office a minimum of 3-4 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IS, Risk Management, Fleet, HR and other departments to produce trend data on safety, training, quality and organizational costs related to the operation of the safety and quality function
  • Collaborate with IS on the implementation and hand off of new technology/systems as they relate to safety and quality processes
  • Produce safety and quality performance reporting including leading and lagging statistics and ensure distribution processes are effective and automated
  • Respond to Business Unit requests and needs for information regarding safety and quality performance by identifying requirements, researching solutions and streamlining processes
  • Partner with Business Development on dashboard performance indicators utilized in customer presentations and new business activity
  • Oversee the use of safety applications such as iAuditor, Fluix, Documents App, Safety & Quality App in order to produce meaningful data and performance analytics from these applications
  • Produce performance information on the Centuri Safety and Quality Audit results for each business unit utilizing Power BI and other reporting technologies
  • Execute the development of processes to streamline the gathering of data and information to improve the effectiveness of communication and performance reporting
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
Responsibilities and required skills

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Technology, Mathematics, or related field
  • 2+ years of reporting and analytics experience in an analyst or related role
  • 1-2 years’ experience with the Power BI toolset required
  • Experience with a programming language like Python, R, or VBA Macros is preferred
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytic skills with high degree of attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools, inclusive of pivot tables, Excel and Power Query functions, and effectively visualizing data in tools such as Excel and Power BI
  • Intermediate understanding of relational database structures and concepts
  • Ability to articulate a big picture view and translate into specific business analysis deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and interpret large data sets, identifying patterns in data or processes, developing tools for streamlined analysis, and creating reports that succinctly summarize complex concepts
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to express complex technical concepts in terms understandable by the business, and requirements and implications in terms understandable to developers
  • The ability to clarify a situation, seek information from appropriate sources, and skillfully pose questions to draw out pertinent information
  • Ability to work collaboratively and enjoys working with others to achieve common, team goals
  • Builds relationships with peers to achieve objectives and develops relationships with other departments to work as one team
  • Quickly responds to adverse situations by identifying root cause and proposing alternative solutions
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently or in a team
  • Ability to solve unique problems and develop methods, systems, processes or services that have a significant impact on company objectives
