Job Description

The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a candidate as a Business Analyst/Tester/Trainer for our HR Onboard/Offboard Project.

This position will work under the direction of the HR Leadership team and IT Senior PM to implement the Software -as-a-Service (SaaS) HR Onboard/Offboard product that has been selected for use at DHHS.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of major improvement opportunity at DHHS. The SaaS platform has been selected and implementation is underway. The HR business team is recruiting hands-on resources with excellent Business Analysis, User Interface Configuration, Test Plan Development, Training, and Application Administration skills to help DHHS roll-out this new product.

Primary tasks include: • Conduct detailed analysis and document business workflows with the HR SMEs across our Divisions and Facilities at DHHS • Become familiar with the SaaS product that will be used to automate the business workflows associated with HR Onboarding and Offboarding processes • Understand and document the roles that define how the SaaS product will be used by the HR team, Hiring team and new DHHS employees • Create test cases for the HR team to use when installing new releases of the SaaS product • Create training guides, communications, and routinely conduct training for DHHS staff as the SaaS product is placed into production for use by the HR team, Hiring managers, and DHHS employees. • Desire to become the hands-on configuration expert for the SaaS product on behalf of the HR team, with potential to become the product administrator as the project closes and moves into steady operations and maintenance state.

The ideal candidate must possess hands on experience with the following:
• Experience working directly with business teams to facilitate product implementation tasks
• Experience with business system analysis techniques, testing methodologies, and user interface configuration
• Experience documenting business process workflows and business rules
• Experience developing test scenarios and test cases and execution of user acceptance testing
• Experience using and configuring cloud-based Software-as-a-Service products
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams)
• Familiarity with Agile, Lean, and Scrum methodology

Responsibilities and required skills

Business Analysis - working directly with the business teams to document business processes (5 years)

Technical competencies to configure a SaaS product using the self-service configuration tools, form design, and role management in the product (2 years)
