Help Desk Technician
Our client is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join their organization in Portland, Oregon.
This role is onsite five days per week.
Help Desk Technician Responsibilities
Assists in maintaining and servicing all remote network equipment including workstations and peripheral devices. Supports the IT staff in all PC help desk hardware and software requests, diagnosing and addressing problems. Assists with the installation and configuring of network and workstation equipment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to IT help desk and email directed to IT from all locations.
- Support applications including Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
- Assist with troubleshooting network equipment problems and failed machines, as needed.
- Assist IT staff with configuring and installing network workstations and other network devices, which may include lifting and moving hardware and squatting and crawling under desks or other cramped spaces.
- Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting Symantec anti-virus issues.
- Assist with mobile device management (cell phone, laptops, and tablets).
- Assist with basic support of our client’s VoIP system.
- Assist with workstation imaging and configuring mobile equipment.
- Assist with all printer and supply needs.
- Foster and demonstrate a positive team environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
Responsibilities and required skills
Help Desk Technician Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Working knowledge and basic Microsoft computer skills, including software tools.
- Experience working with Windows based PC's and network equipment. Experience with connection of multiple peripheral devices.
- Must pass a drug screening test and background check.
