IA-OCIO-BA3-Software Asset Manager
Job Description:
Coordinate the overall software portfolio for OCIO and its customers which includes bidding, purchasing, delivery, renewals, true-ups, tracking, and auditing. As the State begins to look at impacts to software and application state-wide, this position will assist third party vendors in development of processes and methodology. The ideal candidate will need strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, strong customer skills, and the ability to adhere to state work rules.
Project Description:
Develop and administer OCIO Software Asset Management program. Serve as backup to OCIO Financial / Purchasing team to process Purchase and Delivery Orders. Assist with State-wide software and applications inventory
Project Purpose-Business Case:
OCIO’s brokerage has steadily increased year over year. As a result, the software portfolio of OCIO has increased. This role supports all facets of software in OCIO. Including bidding, purchasing, delivery, renewals, true-ups, tracking, and auditing. As the State begins to look at state-wide software and applications, this position will assist a third-party vendor in development of processes and methodology
Project Purpose-Business Objectives:
• Decrease the OCIO’s audit risk Decrease the transaction time for software purchases Increase the compliance of OCIO’s software portfolio
• Decrease the cost of hardware software and services by consistently implementing informal bids for appropriate purchases

• Assist with rationalization of state agency software and applications as needed.
Project Deliverables:
• Annual review and true-up of the OCIO software portfolio
• Lead OCIO requirements in software audits (as necessary)
• Develop, execute, and manage the OCIO software asset management
• Assist with informal bids
Requirements:
• 3 years relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
• Possess strong communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects
• Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with coworkers, supervisors, and customers and prset a positive team environment and customer focus
• Ability to adhere to OCIO work rules.
