Job Description

The Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is seeking an experienced developer to design, build, and maintain RESTful web services that integrate various internal and external systems with the BMV application ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful web services to support secure data exchange between BMV systems and external vendor platforms.
Develop and integrate new functionality into the BMV application based on requirements provided by business users and third-party vendors.
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze technical requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Ensure system interoperability, performance optimization, and adherence to security and compliance standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration and service-related issues across environments.
Participate in architecture discussions and strategic planning to transition development and infrastructure from on-premises environments to a cloud-based platform.
Support cloud migration efforts, including refactoring services, optimizing configurations, and ensuring minimal service disruption.

Required Qualifications:
Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, etc.).
Experience integrating third-party vendor systems and APIs.
Knowledge of authentication and security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS).
Experience working in both on-premises and cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar).
