Job Description

NCDHHS ITD is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer/Expert to lead the design and implementation of a secure, scalable, and user-centric Salesforce and integration solutions for the Back@Home project.

  • Provide day‑to‑day administration, configuration, and troubleshooting for Salesforce applications to ensure availability, stability, and alignment with business goals.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement custom Salesforce components including Apex classes, triggers, Visual force pages, Lightning components, flows, and integrations.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions using Salesforce tools (flows, process builder, approvals).
  • Build and support integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs, middleware, or other methods to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Manage environments, deployments, user roles, permissions, security policies, and large data loads.
  • Diagnose system issues, perform root-cause analysis, implement fixes, and continuously optimize performance.
  • Work closely with business, product owners, QA teams, technical leads, and project managers to deliver enhancements and support strategic initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce Administration and Development (Apex, Lightning, SOQL/SOSL, APIs).
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, workflows, and automation.
  • Experience developing enterprise-grade integrations.
  • Ability to design, document, and deliver complex technical solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience supporting large, statewide or enterprise systems
Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, App Builder).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience supporting public-sector or healthcare-related systems.
