The person in this role should be a true senior level Salesforce SME Consultant who has a heavy technical salesforce background, but has moved into that true consultant role, working heavily on the business side with clients to help them determine how to best adapt Salesforce to meet their business needs effectively.
Someone with this experience who also has social work/human services experience will be most ideal.
A case assessment intake module for the State’s Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) Application was created in 2019 through a combined effort between DOIT, DHHS, and an outside vendor. It has become clear that they need a third-party technical advisor for the state to serve as the Salesforce SME/technical liaison with the business unit to interpret technical limitations and opportunities that the vendor for the system is providing and ensure the vendor is truly leading them in the best direction as well.
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF), Bureau of Information Services Manager (DCYF BIS Manager) will be replacing multiple modules in the current Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) Power Builder platform with Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) Modules in Salesforce. The Salesforce Technical SME will collaborate with the Department of Information Technology (DOIT), CCWIS Salesforce Contractor (Vendor), Independent Verification and Validation Contractor (IV&V Vendor), DCYF Stakeholders, and the Federal Administration for Children and Families (ACF) to create an application that meets DCYF needs.
The Salesforce Technical SME will advise the Project Manager and the Project Owner on replacing multiple modules of the legacy system to Salesforce. The consultant must have a solid Salesforce SME background. We are looking for someone who began in Salesforce development and moved into a true SME/consultant role within Salesforce. We expect the consultant to have a full understanding Salesforce capabilities and limitations. Communication must be EXCEPTIONAL as they will be corresponding constantly with various agency stakeholders, multiple vendors, and various agency users/managers on a daily basis. They must be able to collaborate and interpret needs and requirements between various business entities with varying levels of technical understanding.
