Job Description

Hearst Technology Services (HTS) is hiring a Training and Communications Specialist. We are seeking candidates who enjoy collaborating to arrive at innovative and intuitive solutions and are sensitive to diverse perspectives of stakeholders. Reporting to the Sr Manager of User Engagement, Education & Tech Academy, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with end-user communications and training administration, coordination and facilitation. • Support multiple Learning Management Systems: administer and coordinate training initiatives
• Draft written communications about technology initiatives using multiple channels (email, chatbot, etc.)
• Write and design step-by-step directions/documentation for Hearst employees
• Actively participate and bring ideas to brainstorming sessions to engage with Hearst employees
• Write engaging and clear updates to inform Hearst employees
• Collaborate with various Hearst teams through Microsoft Tools
• Juggle multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders Qualifications \
• 3-5 years of experience is preferred
• Hybrid Role in NYC
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: adult education, teaching, instructional design, communications, writing, etc. OR has similar work experience.
• Strong organizational skills and consistent attention to detail • Experience administering Learning Management Systems
• Able to give and receive feedback quickly
• Strong writing skills with professionalism communicating to all levels of employees
• Understanding of adult learning theory to make content and information digestible
• Experience facilitating events or leading training modules is preferred
• Proficiency using Microsoft office365 tools (specifically OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook & Teams)
• Proficiency with both Macs and PCs is preferred
